Sharing the Load for God's Kingdom
God’s plan has always been for the community to come together in work and ministry.
As disciples, we are called to live in unity with others
We cannot forget the work of the Holy Spirit that Jesus said would guide us in truth and would enable us to live in such a way with others that non-Christians would see Christ in us collectively and that our unity would cause them to believe in Jesus.
Our goal: staying together in a world intent on segmentation
What good news we have is that our identity with Christ translates into community with God and each other.
Smell good? It’s one more dimension of our sweet life with God
While scent has become a good marketing tool, that is not what the writer of Proverbs 27:9 had in mind.
There’s great value in leaving home to see and worship with others
Technology can’t replace the mental and physical shift that happens when we move and walk, drive, and gather together face-to-face in worship.
Did you see Jesus there, when ‘two or three’ of you were together?
How many times has Jesus been standing there and we missed him? I suspect far more than we can count. But I realize I saw him today.
When God’s people bring good over evil, watch for the celebration!
We tend to celebrate when whomever we designate as the “good” side wins a victory.
