Asaph, David's go-to worship leader, wrote several worship songs found in the Psalms, reminding us of God's sovereignty over creation, His righteous judgment, and His sufficiency.

When faced with anticipation or challenges, remember to have faith and be obedient in navigating the mission ahead.

"Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances.”

The name of this holiday helps us focus hearts and minds on the divine source of every good gift that comes from above.

Gratitude changes everything. It moves us from the floor of pity to the pinnacle of praise.  And lifting up God pulls us up as well.

I memorized this passage when I was 18. I have sung it, quoted it, and prayed it hundreds of times over the decades. Yet I still often struggle with living it out.

Paul said of his readers that because of their faith in Jesus, the gospel was being proclaimed throughout the world. I know this is true of my readers, too.
